After the first month Nolan began to get over the life threatening hump. We would learn over and over again that the obstacles don't end anytime soon.

These pictures show his improved skin color and increased growth. He is 300% bigger in these pictures, but you will see that he is still a small fellow even after a month or two.

Nolan is now over a month old. He is still on a respirator for breathing, but his size and skin is much improved.

This is another picture that shows Nolan with his eyes open. It took him a few weeks to open his eyes. Later on we would run into retinal detachment problems due to prematurity.

This is a view of the Isollette that Nolan called home for several months. This helps keep him warm and free from potentially threatening germs.

In this picture you can see a tube going down Nolan's nose. This is how he would receive his oxygen. The other is for his food. His food has to be IV or through his nose into stomach at this point.

The Band-Aid on his chest in this picture is a normal size Band-Aid that we would use on our finger!

This is dad holding his son for the first time. Nolan finally got to a stable enough state that we could hold him for short periods of time.
