Nolan's First days were very difficult for him, fighting to live, and for us as parents hoping he would make it through another minute..hour...and day.

 

As you look at these picture you will note the redness of his skin. This is due to the extremely thin layer of skin he was born with. The tube to his mouth is his respirator device allowing him to get air. At this early stage doctors are still able to utilize the umbilical opening to give preemie's the nourishment they need to grow.

 

This is Nolan a few hours after he was born. As you can see he is very small. Our wedding rings can fit around his wrist.

 

This is a closer view. He is under a humidity bag to help his fragile skin. The hat that is to big for him here fits a beanie baby perfect!


 

This is Father Ray blessing our son for the miracle of seeing another day.

 

 

 

This is dad (me). In this picture the only part of Nolan that you can see is his head. The machine in the background is breathing for him.
