Studio 2 on board the Mi-Amigo, as i have mentioned on the previous pages Radio Caroline transmitted some great and memorable programmes from this studio, especially in the struggling to stay on the air years of the late 70s.  Todays generation have not even heard of free radio, if you are a young surfer who just stumbled onto this site this is what radio used to be like until 10 years ago.  There is no 'free radio from the high seas' anymore, unless you live around the mediteranean sea.  There are loads of other sites connected with all sorts of stations from the past, have a look at my favourite sites on the home page, good surfing and stay lucky.
A rather pap picture of the MEBO2, home to Radio Northsea Internationl, for two weeks leading up to the 1970 general election she changed her name to Radio Caroline Int, this was to try and persuade the 18 year olds (who were voting for the first time) to vote tory and hopefully they would amend the Marine Offences Act of 1967.  The tories won OK but they didn't alter the laws on Offshore Radio, they still continued JAMMING Caroline after the election, by that time she had changed her name back to RNI.  A short time after this RNI upped anchor and sailed back to a mooring 4 miles from the coast of Holland, very close to the Radio Veronica ship.
A serene view of the Mi Amigo in the mid to late 70s, this picture is one of the best i have seen on the web (i got this picture from either norman barringtons or Nigel Harris's site both of them are ex Caroline Jocks)both sites are dedicated to Caroline, jingles, airchecks and general offshore  memories, give them a visit and tell them i sent you
