Hi! We are Brian, Julie and Clay from Raleigh, N.C. We are honored that you are taking a moment to read our letter. We admire your strength and courage in considering adoption for your baby. We were blessed when Clay came into our lives through open adoption four years ago. It was such an amazing experience! We love spending time together as a family and enjoy watching a movie, taking long walks around our neighborhood or just spending a quiet evening at home. Brian loves sports, especially hockey, and he can't wait to teach our newest addition how to score a goal! Brian and Clay enjoy playing catch in the backyard while our cocker spaniel, Lucy, runs around them. Brian can already imagine teaching our child how to catch a ball. Julie loves reading, shopping at the mall, running or just spending time with our family. Every Christmas, Julie and Clay bake cookies together for Santa and she is looking forward to sharing this tradition with the newest member of our family. Clay loves to put puzzles together and is looking forward to teaching his little brother or sister how to put all the pieces together.

He is excited about volunteering in the classroom! Julie works as an assistant property manager for a local real estate company. She enjoys communicating with the homeowners and tenants. With Julie's job flexibilty, she is looking forward to attending our children's school plays and field trips!

We have family within driving distance and we get together often. Julie's dad has a farm with cows, horses, geese and fishing ponds. Grandpa can't wait to introduce our child to all of the animals. Brian's parents can't wait to take our child to the state fair and show them all the sites. Julie's mother is gathering ideas for her grandchild's room. We try to take a beach trip each year, renting a house for the week with extended family. They can't wait to build sandcastles and wade in the ocean with our children. Aunts, uncles, and cousins are all so excited that we are adopting. They can't wait to celebrate birthdays and holidays with our baby! Everyone is so supportive of our adoption plans.

We live in Raleigh, North Carolina. We have a great back yard where our children can play tag, throw a Frisbee, or just chase each other around the house! Our neighborhood is full of children of all ages. We are within walking distance of our community pool and can't wait to splash around in it with our children!
