Muse are an English rock band from Teignmouth, Devon, formed in 1994. The band consists of school friends Matthew Bellamy (lead vocals, guitars, piano, keyboards, keytar), Christopher Wolstenholme (bass, backing vocals, keyboards, guitars, harmonica) and Dominic Howard (drums, percussion, synthesisers, backing vocals, sampling). After the release of their 2006 album Black Holes and Revelations, keyboardist and percussionist Morgan Nicholls has performed live with the band. Muse are known for their energetic and extravagant live performance and their fusion of many music genres, including progressive rock, alternative rock, space rock, pop music, heavy metal, and electronica, with recurring themes of revolution Muse have released five studio albums: Showbiz (1999), Origin of Symmetry (2001), Absolution (2003), Black Holes and Revelations (2006), and The Resistance (2009). The band have also issued three live albums, Hullabaloo Soundtrack (2002), which is also a compilation of B-sides, Absolution Tour (2005), and HAARP (2008). Black Holes and Revelations earned the band a Mercury Prize nomination and a third place finish in the NME Albums of the Year list for 2006. Muse have also won numerous other music awards throughout their history, including five MTV Europe Music Awards, five Q Awards, eight NME Awards, two BRIT awards, an MTV Video Music Award, four Kerrang! Awards and an American Music Award. They were also nominated for three Grammy Award of which they won Best Rock Album for their fifth studio album, The Resistance. As of November 2010, Muse have sold over ten million albums worldwide.a review about the newest Muse album and use English language. The Resistance(2009) album was record in the Matthew Bellamy�s studios. Bellamy�s studios is near in the Como Lake, Italy. In the first, I will review about Bellamy�s studios choice. Why he want record that album in his studios? Why he not record it in Abbey Road Studios? Why? I know he has some reason. And the result? Maybe can defeat the last album like Black Holes and Revelation (2006). And there are some result make me surprise, In one week, The Resistance reach the 1st on music chart in 16 Europe countries! Yeah, this album was called �Symphonic Album� from Muse. That�s not a jokes, because the of the songs in this album is full of symphonic music. For example, we can check United State of Eurasia songs. Bellamy include Frederic Chopin�s song. And Matthew Bellamy refresh again this master piece and named in with Collateral Damage. This is very masterpiece and full of symphony, or I can call it with �Symphonic Rock�. There is one songs full of symphony. This song is Exogenesis .There are three part on Exogenesis. The 1st part is Overture, 2nd part is Cross Pollination, 3rd part is Redemption. My favorite part in Exogenesis is Redemption. Because this song have many moral message about doom day, or apocalypse. Now, we make a review about the 1st songs in this album, Uprising. Uprising is the 1st Muse Video clip released on The Resistance album too. The 2nd Muse song in The Resistance album is Resistance. This song was issued can be the 2nd third single. This song have a beat music, and powerful lyrics. The 3rd songs in The Resistance and the 2nd single, is Undisclosed Desires. Muse was finally finished the video clip of Undisclosed Desires. For the next, the 5th song on the album is Guiding Light Another great songs on this album is Unnatural Selection,I Belong To You,and also MK Ultra...and the complete discography from Muse is The members of Muse played in separate bands during their stay at Teignmouth Community College and Coombeshead College in the early 1990s. The formation of Muse began when Matthew Bellamy successfully auditioned for the part of guitarist in Dominic Howard's band. They asked Christopher Wolstenholme, who played drums at the time, to learn to play bass guitar for the band. Wolstenholme agreed and the band was formed. In 1994, under the name Rocket Baby Dolls and with a goth/glam image, the group won a local battle of the bands contest, smashing their equipment in the process. "It was supposed to be a protest, a statement", Bellamy said, "so, when we actually won, it was a real shock. A massive shock. After that, we started taking ourselves seriously". Shortly after the contest, the three decided to forego university, quit their jobs, change the band name to Muse, and move away from Teignmouth. THE BAND NAME : The band have stated that they chose the name Muse due to it being short as well as looking good on gig posters. They got the name after someone suggested that the reason that a lot of bands were forming around Teignmouth was due to a muse hanging around the town. The word 'muse' is defined in the dictionary as: A force or person, esp. a woman, that inspires a creative artist To be absorbed in one's thoughts, to engage in meditation or to consider or say thoughtfully Any of the nine daughters of Zeus and Mnemosyne in Greek mythology. In Greek mythology each Muse presides over a different art or science. Bellamy's favourite is Erato, the Muse of lyrical and erotic poetry..
