by Anna Greenway When we saw your name and then the title, There was no doubt that reading was vital, So aside went all those things we love least, And all real life work was straightaway ceased, We sprang to our seats as quick as we could, For we knew this fic could only be good, And as the first chapter came to the screen, We grinned, went giddy, and pictured the scene... There's John in a crisis like none before, Force-fed a case he'd prefer to ignore, Not only a town as crazy as this, But hell, married and expected to kiss? He sweated, he swore, oh what a bad dream! (While us readers grin at Monica's scheme) But John, he goes on, to panic and curse, Not knowing that it will only get worse ... To the church they go, there's neighbours to meet! Hordes of fake smiles to catch and repeat, Up the front, there's Chuck, the head of the cult, The one who gives Mon that lovely insult, "Go home!" he says, "and produce us some young! So I can steal them, and make them rake dung!" And John, such a man, does not hesitate, But hey, that's partly what makes this fic great ... And while our Mon is off cooking dinner, John finds a job, that for me was a winner, Away he goes, there's a faucet leaking! But in this problem that he is seeking, I thought he would need to pull it apart, And how many insects would need to depart? The house has been empty, they could be there! I guess he just squished 'em, in the repair ... Then after their second visit to church, John loses Mon, and for her he must search! "Don't kill her!" we scream, and stressed, we waited, Thank God you only had her sedated, John, our hero, he releases them all! Backed up by Skinner, who bursts through the wall, A sigh of relief, it all ends so well, As long as that creep is sent straight to hell ... Overall, for your fic, perfect's the word, From start to finish, and all that occurred, I've told you before, you know how to write, I'll say it again, 'cause this was just right, A great piece of fanfic, a job well done, I hope in writing it, you had some fun, I had fun reading, 'twas a great fic for me, I know more agree... great job, RPC. |
