The sun was in their line of sight now. Tom felt the coldness of Marie's body. He embraced her as closely as he can. "Are you alright, Marie?" He feared the inevitable.
"I'm cold." She shivered and held him tight.
"Let me take you home."
She disagreed. The rosy cheecks which had been blushing a while ago had gone pale.
"Just sit here for a while. I'll call an ambulance," Tom said hastily. He rushed to the nearest phone booth.
She didn't speak a word. Her breathing was faster than before, but she had lost her own strength.
