REY ADEL'S PROSE
PHASES OF MAN

Birth

For nine months, my world contained only one person, ME. IT was a world engulfed by darkness. Yet, I have warmth and never felt alone. Love and care were the emotions I usually gained. I only needed to work with my system. To develop myself physically and mentally, no more, no less. But my world had a boundary. Inside the warm darkness, sounds like"Hello, son." kept on breaking through the barrier. I responded to these greetings by moving around my world. Sometimes, kicking it. Food was never a problem. I got these around my little place and through a cord connecting me to the outside.

One day, a voice called, "Are you ready?"

"Please let me stay here," I begged.

"You will love it outside. There are more beautiful things you ought to see," the voice promised.

"I rather live here," I protested. But my pleas and protests, though heard, were not granted. I came out of MY world to another world.
