Human physical suffering, and incurable diseases challenged men, . . . how I wanted to be a doctor! I also dreamed of being a philosopher, one who could bridge the"missing link" between science and theology. I used to fantasize being another Plato or as great as Francis Marie Arouet. Seeing different expressions from different persons, innumerable observations from various places and varied viewpoints of history and current events invited me to convey them through canvas . . . I liked to be a Picasso. If could not be a President, I would just be a philatelist (President Roosevelt was one).
