CHAPTER 2 . . .
I have three sisters, my eldest sister is 17 months ahead of me. She was the first to receive the love my mother and the caress of my father; she was the first to perceive the beauty of sunset and the freshness of sunrise; the scent of the flowers, the breath of the leaves, the heat of the sun, the glow of the moon, the beauty of the earth, the light of the stars; in general, the world and all other things around and within the immense expanse of the world. She was the first child in the family to be enrolled in, to study at and graduated from --- elementary, secondary and college schools. She was the first to know how to add, subtract, multiply and divide; the first to read and write ABC's; and the first to comprehend problems and solve them. During our childhood, she was like a little mother who cared, taught and played with us. She is a father, a mother, an elder sister and a friend rolled into one. She possessed all the characteristics of an elder sister: the strictness, the sense of humor, and the temper of my father; the gentleness, the sense of truth and the sentimentality of my mother. She is my elder sister.
