After a week, the paper is ready for distribution to its subscribers. The editor assists the circulation manager in this phase. Both these individuals, especially the editor-in-chief, are shocked by the readers' token of appreciation. After reading a few lines, by split of a second, the paper is transformed into a fan, an umbrella, a seat cover, a scratch pad, a paper airplane or boat, and several other forms of origami
When the paper is held by the readers' playful and artistic hands, the editor's job is still half-finished, He has yet to prepare for the next issue: setting new deadlines, calling meetings, and so and so forth.
In conclusion, the editor-in-chief is a plain writer, a lay-out artist, a delivery boy, the managing editor or the circulation manager rolled into one.
Who wants to be one? Anyone from the men of letters?
