It has come to my attention that I’ve used up my retention on a woman that I’d love to be my wife

But this most disturbing news of the things that I will lose, only adds another chapter to my life

Now I know I must adjust, many things I must discuss with the next one that shares my battered world

Though I treat girls with respect, there are things I won’t accept, nor give up because of our romantic swirl

Now hold on, just wait a tat, walk your cat and wash your what?  You’re mistaken girl, I’m not the one for you

Or am I an egotist, all right then, I’ll burn the list, get a pen and paper dear I’ll start anew

But this list is not subjective to your whines and stern directives, but to serve the purpose of our common goals

Which are honor and obey, then take turns to lead the way, and enjoy the finer things that this world holds.
