Goudie Signs Record Deal
Rex Goudie has signed a record deal with Sony BMG Music Canada. He may have been the Canadian Idol runner-up, but the president of the label, Lisa Zbitnew, says as soon as Rex hit the stage it was clear he was a star. She says they are very excited to work with such a talented and charismatic vocalist on his debut album. After relaxing at home in Burlington, Rex will return to Toronto to write and record the album, which is expected in mid-December.
It's confirmed...Goudie will perform at the Trinity Conception Fall Fair in Harbour Grace this Saturday. It's his first performance since coming in second in the Canadian Idol competition. Goudie will hold an autograph session at the S.W. Moores stadium at 6pm Saturday. He will then take to the stage for a half hour concert at 8pm. Stadium manager Kevin Bennett says the phones at the stadium have been ringing off the hook. Tickets will go on sale at approximately 3pm Saturday at the stadium.
