Bear was our first dog, he is a Golden Retriever/Yellow lab mix. We weren't sure if dog training would be our thing, so we bought a cheap dog for $20.00. That was when we found out that Bear could only get limited registration through UKC, so we found out that going the cheap way was not the way to go when it comes to dogs. Training was going great, then when Bear was 7 months old, he blew out his knee like a football player would. 16 weeks of recovery and $1,400.00 later the decision was made not to run Bear in hunt tests. However, Bear loves to squirrel hunt. He can tree a squirrel with the best of them.
