Opera girl

First time I’ve seen Veronica was
when my parents took me to opera house in
Veronica was four
years younger than me and had angel’s voice. She really trilled me. And she was
pretty.
As a growing young
boy I thought of Veronica as my idol. She stayed in my head for a while and
years later whenever someone said word “opera” or mentioned her name.
“One day we’ll meet
again,” I thought.
And we did.
As I look back I met
Veronica again at critical point in her life. She gained her fame, her wealth.
Then she lost her
voice.
She was twenty-six
then. She happened to need me far more than a good friend. I was with her all
the time when most of her dreams failed already.
I remember she told
me that to lose her voice is like to have an abortion.
When Veronica got
her voice machine she didn’t sound the same but we went ahead and recorded few
Rock opera songs with her voice then we toured.
“Her Vanished Grace”
song was a hit, actually. And Veronica Warren received Hit Song Award for
vocals.
