Jeremy and I have been celebrating St. Nicholas Day for many years. He is half-Turkish and it was a way of teaching Jeremy about half of his culture.
Afterwards, we learned that he is the patron saint of those who have lost lawsuits unjustly. How ironic!!

Philipse Manor Hall was the family home of Susannah Robinson, the mother of John Robinson. Hon. John Robinson served as Mayor of Saint John from 1816-1828, as well as President of the Bank of New Brunswick from 1820-1828.

Our first step to celebrating St. Nicholas Day was our purchase of this delightful video at the Catholic Book Shop. We had to buy two copies since Jeremy wore out the first copy. It is available at many sites on the WWW.
