This page was created in response to Jeremy's reaction to the 2006 Canadian Federal election. He wanted to learn about the difference between the job of the Prime Minister and the jobs of the Premier Bernard Lord and how the Ministers of Parliament are elected.

    At right, the stairs of the Supreme Court of Canada are symbolic of the decisions that are made by legal practitioners. You are forced to go up either the left-hand staircase or the right-hand one. I chose the right-hand staircase. Once you are inside, you have to make the same decision to enter the courtroom.

    This great Web site for kids is from Australia, not Canada; however, both Canada and Australia have federal parliamentary governments.
