Original Cindy gave her one of her, 'well d'uh' looks, "To help me score some babes."she answered, downing the beer infront of her. Laughing at a guy who just got turned down across the room, Max shot back, "Rrrright. I'm supposed to help you how?" Original Cindy rolled her eyes, "Girl, ever look in da mirror?!" Max shrugged, "I get your point." she replied, even Logan's taken the time to stand her infront of a mirror and made her look at herself. Original Cindy nodded, "I rest my case." "Man! That girl is bad ass!" Max followed Original Cindy's gaze. Infront of her was a petite female, about five foot one, approximately one-hundred and thirteen pounds; her long, auburn hair had been pulled into a tight bun, which topped the chestnut hair that was let loose out of the bottom of the bun and ended at her shoulders. She was dressed in black leather, from neck to toe. Her make-up was done darkly, sending an, 'Leave me alone,' warning. "Just look at her! She's here walking' around thinking she knows the place!" Shrugging, Max said, "What the...," Max couldn't shake off the feeling that she had. She continued to watch her every move, unfazed at what Original Cindy went on about. Original hummed, "I know, isn't she hot? Little short for my tastes though, but you hafta admit, for a girl wit attitude, she's one sexy sista." Max shook her head, "Not that. I don't swing that way. She just looks familiar," VERY familiar, she added silently. Original Cindy nodded her head in time with the music, "Yeah, everybody knows everybody this day and age," she declared. Using her increased vision, Max took a closer look at the girl, "Right," she responded, unable to take her eyes off of the girl. Original Cindy tilted her head, deep in thought, "She looks thirteen- what is she doing in here?!" she exclaimed. Max shook her head, "She's eighteen, not thirteen." "How the hell would you know that?" Original Cindy asked, her eyes knit together in confusion. "I have no idea. I'm going to go say hi," Max got up and walked towards the girl. The girl noticed Max walking towards her and prepared herself for confrontation. "Greetings from planet Earth," Max said, holding out her hand. The girl eyed Max's hand suspiciously, "You were staring at me," she told Max, it was not a question. Max shrugged, "You seem familiar," she responded. "Do I know you?" the girl asked. "That was my question for you," Max replied. The girl looked around, "Right." Max eyed the girl, "You're not from Seattle." The girl shrugged, "Nope. Came from Nowhere, America," she replied. Max smiled, "Wow, been there. Things change much?" she liked getting to know people with a cynical attitude, much like hers. "Not really," she laughs out. "You got a name?" Max asked. The girl's eyes turned into a glare, "What's it to you?" she reiterated. Shrugging, Max replied, "I don't like calling out, 'hey- you!' to people. Not my style." The girl smiled and relaxed, "Raine. Like precipitation," she replied. Max grinned, "I'm Max. Nice to meet ya." Raine tilted her head, "Likewise. Gotta place where we can sit- or do I hafta stand up all day?" "Right over there," Max points to a table, "that's Original Cindy." "Right," Raine responded, walking with Max to the table and sitting down across from her. Original Cindy eyed Raine curiously, "Bringing back the fish?" she asked. Max shook her head, "Just gathering more bait." Raine gives them a questioning look. "Looking for a chick," responds Original Cindy, who saw the look on Raine's face. "Ah," she replied, understanding what they were talking about now. Max gestured to Raine, "This is Raine," she introduced, "Rain, meet Original Cindy," she turned towards Raine, "You here infinitely, or vacation?" Raine smiled, "Infinitely, word is my sibs got into some crap. I'm here to help 'em out." Max gives Raine a look, wondering if she could actually be her sibling, Raine. How popular can that name be? "Where did you say you were from?" Max asked. "Does it matter? I'm here for a fresh start," Raine replied. Original Cindy put a hand up, "Okay, you two. No fighting!" "I wasn't fighting!" they responded in unison. "Yeah, right," Original Cindy said. "We weren't!" they exclaimed, once again in unison. The two looked at each other and started laughing. "Great!" Original exclaimed throwing her hands up. Max's pager beeped, repeatedly, "Son of a- pager's going off!" "Wheel boy's calling' again?" Original Cindy asked. Shaking her head, Max answered, "Don't call him that." But Original Cindy's attention was elsewhere, "Raine- you looking' for a job?" she asked the unsuspecting girl. "I don't fish." Raine replied. Original Cindy laughed, "Not that. Tell me something, you packing muscle?" Raine gave Original Cindy an odd look, "Yeah. Everyone has to these days." Original Cindy turned to Max, "You thinking what I'm thinking?" she asked her friend. Max nodded her head and smiled, "Oh yeah," she looked at Raine,"Ever hear of Jam Pony?" ****** End 1/? ****** Okay, Okay- I already have the next chapter outlined, gimme an hour or two and Logan'll show up. ^.^ What do you all think??
