“Out Of Sight But Never Out Of Our Thoughts”

Reverend Scott

Remembering
Reverend Raymond Scott Sr.
May 7, 1933 - July 16, 2003

In the year 2004 the family of the late Reverend Raymond Scott Sr. desires to establish a memorial exhibit that bears Reverend Scott's name and lists his many accomplishments. We also want to establish a scholarship fund. A proposal was sent to Port Arthur Mayor and City Official's asking for their support in establishing a Port Arthur Day Of Remembrance and a street or a public building named in his honor. Reverend Scott made a significant difference on a local, state and national level, treating all people rich or poor with respect and dignity. At the time of his death he was Port Arthur NAACP President, NAACP national board of director (Baltimore-Maryland), respected community leader and served on several community boards. If you are willing to volunteer for the Financial Committee, Letter Committee, or commit in any other capacity please send your response by clicking on the email link below.

Please call 409-543-3295 or send your response to [email protected].

We hope to have this memorial established no later than July 16, 2004, which will mark the one- year anniversary of his death. Thank you for your generosity, time and support. Have a blessed and prosperous New Year!

Yours Truly,

The Scott Family
