I am currently twirling in my 15th year of baton. I started twirling at the age of 2 and have been in love with it ever since. I have been with this group my whole life and they have become my second family. I started competing in group at the age of 3 and was entered in my first medley at the age of 4. I have competed in every possible event there is out there both in group and inviduals. I joined with my fellow twirler and friend, Shammarah in 2000 to begin what has been 5 years of great pairs routines. I have fallen in love with Freestyle, Pairs, 2-Baton, and my new challenge 3-Baton. I decided to become a coach and so I took the Level 1 coaches course and came out of it scoring 100% on the test. I will always be involved in baton throughout my entire life in someway just like my mom and my buddy Betty :) I love it to much to let it go! The friendships made along the way have made it all worthwhile and I would never exchange the memories I have for anything else. To all of you "Ketchup" girls, my coaches, and the baton parents who sit up in those stands for hours on end...I love you all!!! Baton is my love and it always will be! |
