You can probably figure out by my last opinion that I'd be against teaching creationism in schools. The thing is, this is something that may become a reality in Ohio. They're going to be voting on it later this year. Personally, I don't see how something like this can even be considered. Oh, wait, yes I do, we have a dumb-ass president that thinks you can't be patriotic if you're an atheist. He somehow gets the notion that our forefathers meant for this to be a Christian nation. If that were true, they wouldn't have made our First Amendment right FREEDOM OF BELIEF!!!!
You cannot teach children that God made everything. Number one, there's absolutely no proof for it. I know religion requires faith, but science requires proof. That's what BIOLOGY CLASS is! If you want your kids to be learning about religion, send them to a Christian school. And there is far more proof for Darwinism than for creationism. Creationism may have been a fine explanation for things before there was any other theory. It was a way to explain the unknown, which is what every religion is. Don't get me wrong, if you want to believe that God made you and God made the world, go ahead, that's your right as an American, that's your right as an individual. But don't hate me because I don't believe in it, I have just as much a right to not believe in it as you have to believe in it. But you shouldn't go teaching God made this, God made that in schools. Religion is a very personal thing. It is intended for personal guidance. It is not intended to force down children's throats. Yes, parents, you do have a right to teach your children about your religion, but please don't think you did something wrong in raising your kids if they choose not to believe in God or choose to be a different religion than you. This is a good thing. This means you taught them to think for themselves.
