Scrolling Maps and BASIC MapMaker (3/14/07)

3/14/07

For the past few weeks, I have been focusing on scrolling maps.  I figured out how to move a sprite around the screen and have come close to the art of allowing the sprite to return to the middle of the screen before scrolling.  I have added more content to my tutorials, but my most prized accomplishment is writing BASIC Mapmaker, a program that allows users to easily create their own maps for use in their own games.  I haven't really worked on character detection for detecting boundaries and objects yet, but I'll be experimenting with it in the coming weeks.
