Mark of the Beast
The
Beast Empire in
the World
OPEC, the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries includes Algeria, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Libya, Nigeria, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and Venezuela. For years there were only 10; currently there are 11 members. Of all the countries in OPEC only Venezuela does not have a dominant Muslim population. According to OPEC’s website (emphasis added),
“Membership requires ability to export oil and sharing of
the ideals of the Organization.
Twice a year, or more frequently if required, the Oil and Energy
Ministers of the OPEC Members meet to decide on the Organization's output
level, and consider whether any action to adjust output is necessary in
the light of recent and anticipated oil market developments.” [That defines their control and the risk to
any nation cut off from oil supplies.] [1][2]
Look carefully
at the above political map. The blue line outlines the area of the Arab
Muslim Abbasid Empire of 750 A.D. It is amazing to note that, with the
exception of Israel, Spain and Portugal, the areas of Muslim dominance are
unchanged in the last 1250 years. The modern day Muslim nations that are
encompassed in the area of the ancient Abbasid Muslim Empire are Morocco,
Algeria, Libya, Egypt, Sudan, Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Yemen,
Oman, United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, and
Pakistan.
It is from this area and from ten of these nations that the Beast power will
arise. The nation led by the Antichrist will establish his dominance by
absorbing three of the ten nations. Saddam Hussein’s attempt to conquer Kuwait
was a foreshadowing of the kind of scenario that we can expect to see in the
near future.
If this revelation of these prophetic scriptures is accurate, then we should be
able to see a correspondence between three things:
1.
The character of the last days Beast as described in the
scriptures.
2.
The character and nature of the seventh empire, the 750
A.D. Arab Muslim Empire of the Abbasids.
3.
The character and nature of a modern emerging movement in
the area of the ancient Arab Muslim Empire of the Abbasids.
As
can be seen from this description, the Arab Muslim Abbasid Empire in many ways
was similar to the scriptural descriptions of the end-time Beast power. The
Abbasid Muslim Empire was dreadful and unmerciful in their elimination of all
opposition. They were one of the strongest empires in history, ruling a vast
area from Spain to India, including North Africa and the Middle East. They were
a religious empire, fully convinced that their false religion was the One True
Faith. Their rule was initially characterized by strife among themselves. They
were alterers of times and law; the Muslim Sabbath, Friday, set aside the
Sabbath of the Lord. In addition, they set up a Muslim theocratic legal system
that brought the culture and economy of their whole empire into submission to
the Koran. Their primary conflict, in war and religion, was with the Christian
West. Finally, they were extremely bloody in their methods of subduing
opposition, slaughtering multitudes of their enemies both within and without
the empire.
Is there a growing movement in the Middle East today that closely fits the
descriptions of the Beast power in scripture and the historical character of
the Arab Muslim Empire of 750 A.D.? The answer is an emphatic yes! This
growing movement is Islamic fundamentalism. Islamic fundamentalism is nothing
less than an attempt to restore the Abbasid Muslim Empire of 750 A.D.
The modern day Muslim nations that are encompassed in the area of the ancient
Abbasid Muslim Empire are Morocco, Algeria, Libya, Egypt, Sudan, Syria,
Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Yemen, Oman, United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi,
Kuwait, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. Let us look at the character and
nature of Islamic fundamentalism in a few of these nations. Then we can compare
it to the description of the Beast power in scripture and the historical
character of the Arab Muslim Empire of 750 A.D.
Iran, in the first national Islamic fundamentalist revolution,
overthrew the USA-backed Shah in 1979. An Islamic State was established
bringing all of life under submission to the Shariah, a system of law based on
the Koran. Ultimate power is vested in the Ayatollah and the Mullahs; religious
leaders with absolute power to compel obedience to Islamic law. Since 1979,
Iran has vigorously tried to export their radical Islamic Revolution to other
Muslim states, and has succeeded in establishing such underground movements in
many of them. Iran is constantly trying to develop or purchase weapons of mass
destruction. In addition they are working with all their resources and the
assistance of China and Russia to develop ballistic missile capabilities that
will allow them to deliver these weapons of mass destruction to all parts of
the world, including the USA. Why do the Iranian Muslims have such hatred for
the USA? The answer is quite simple. The Iranian Islamic fundamentalists are
driven by a sincere religious passion to see the whole earth brought under
Islamic rule. In particular, they are driven by a hatred for what they
consider, and rightly so, to be the godlessness of western culture. The
Ayatollah Khomeini, in particular, despised the worldwide spread of the popular
culture of the USA. His particular term of derision for the USA in this respect
was "the World Devourer". Their well known name for the USA is "The
Great Satan". Their favorite slogan is "Death to America!" They
know that the main obstacle to the renewal and world domination of Islam is the
USA. They also know that they will never be able to achieve one of their other
passions, the destruction of Israel, as long as the USA stands in the way.
However, as incredible as it may seem, the radical Muslims of Iran are far from
the most radical of this movement. The Iranian Muslims are Persians, not Arabs.
The most radical strains of Islamic fundamentalism are found in Arab
Islam. Here is a very accurate summary of this fact:
Arab Islam is
the purest form of Islam, uncontaminated or diluted by other influences that
have shaped the Islamic religion in, say, Indonesia or Nigeria. Arab Islam,
therefore, retains much of the original Islamic passion; to be, as of divine
right, the world’s supreme religion and to achieve this status by force, if
necessary. Religious toleration may or may not be practiced, depending on
circumstances; but the idea of religious pluralism is as much anathema to Arab
Islam as it was to the Roman Catholic church of the 11th century.
In fact, radical Arab Islam is almost inconceivably vicious and
destructive. Let us examine how this Beast power is beginning to take shape in
a few of the other countries of the former Abbasid Empire; Sudan and Algeria.
Sudan: since 1989, the Muslim government in the north has been engaged
in genocide against the Christians in the south of the country. The governments
stated goal is to "eradicate non-Islamic religion". The ruling power
behind this is the National Islamic Front, whose current leader is Hassan
Al-Turabi. Non-Muslims are denied the necessities of life unless they convert
to Islam. Thousands of Christians, especially women and children, have been
sold into slavery to Muslim masters who force conversions to Islam.
The fate of the Christian men of Southern Sudan is even more horrific. Sudan’s
Nuba Mountains have become a desolation of mass graves. The villages are
destroyed and starving women and children huddle in camps awaiting death or
enslavement to Muslim masters. They are without men to protect or provide for
them because their men have been killed. According to conservative estimates,
since 1989, over 500,000 Christian men have been slaughtered by the radical
Muslims in the Nuba Mountain region.
Algeria: the radical Muslim "Armed Islamic Group" began its reign
of terror in Algeria in 1992 when the military-led government canceled
elections the radical Muslim parties were poised to win. Since then, the
radical Muslims have slaughtered at least 75,000 people. The vast majority of
the casualties have been Muslims. They are killed by the radical Muslims
because they are "secular", "westernized" or not supportive
enough of the goal of establishing Shariah law. This is almost impossible to
grasp, but please read the following report carefully. As you read, remember
that this is just a shadow of the Beast power that is going to seize the whole
earth.
