"Everything's just peachy with the Indy Racing League's title sponsor," offered Reif, "and we look forward to a long and prosperous relationship with them. As is usual in these situations, our title sponsor has some obligations to us in exchange for certain promotional considerations. While there have been some adjustments, that relationship remains largely unchanged. I'm confident that the Indy Racing Leagues's title sponsor will continue as our title sponsor after each race, and will do so as long as our relationship is intact."

When asked to comment on persistent rumors about the title sponsor's continuing good financial health, Reif was optimistic.
"While we're not accustomed to delving into the arcana of the business world, our understanding is that our title sponsor has all of the components of a successful business in place, including income and expenses, gross and net. Besides, FedExing those banner ads all over the world can't be cheap."
