Slinky at Indy!
Galles Press Release: Indianapolis, IN, May 25, 2001 -
Galles Racing Car Owner, Rick Galles, announced today that Slinky will be an associate sponsor of the Galles Racing cars driven by Al Unser Jr. and Didier Andre for the remainder of the 2001 season.

The Slinky sponsorship was formulated through Galles Racing's relationship with Active International, the world's largest trade organization.

"Active International was the company that brought Slinky and Galles together, and we are proud to bring Slinky on board with our other sponsors, Starz, TV Guide, PlayStation and Budweiser. Slinky is a tradition in America, and it is exciting to have yet another strong brand join our program," said Galles.

Slinky, the original walking spring toy, is owned by Poof Products Inc., and has been a household staple since 1945.

"We're excited to be part of the Galles Team and the Indy Racing Northern Light Series for the remainder of the 2001 season, " said Ray Dallavecchia, President and CEO of Poof Products, Inc. "The long history and unmatched tradition of the Indy 500, the Greatest Spectacle in Racing, is something we've all appreciated as we grew up. We feel the same way about our 'Slinky' brand. The feeling of Americana that's represented by Slinky fits perfectly with the grand tradition of this incredible race."
