Exiting his Star News office for a noon-time break, Robin Miller fell in a hail
of gunfire in a battle
lasting nearly two hours. A jack-booted Gannett strike force finally succeeded
in fatally wounding him
at approximately 1:55 CST. What appeared to be IMS shocktroops with their
characteristic "level-playing-field"
insignia covered with duct-tape had failed to do more than wing the unarmed
Miller in the
hour and thirty minutes prior to the Gannett force's arrival.
"They finally got me!" chuckled the dead Miller. "I wasn't certain they'd ever actually pull it off. I'm not bitter at all- in fact, I look forward taking a quick vacation before accepting that position with NSSN." Representatives of IMS officially denied any involvement. |
