My Mother
She read my first story to me and sang me my first song. She sat with me through my first movie and rocked me through my first heartache. My entire life, she was the reason I did anything and everything. I exceeded and excelled because of her; I wrote because of her; I lived because of her. She left this world on a summer night in August of 2005 and it shook everything I had ever believed in. For some time, I doubted everything around me, but now, I know my purpose. Now, I excel for her; I write for her; I live for her. She is still my life and I know that she watches over me, just as she had done all my life. I feel her smile down on me when the sun hits my back and feel her touch with a breeze brushes against my cheek. She's in my heart and soul and I'll never forget her.

Love your mother and never say words you'll regret. Once they're gone, you can never take those words back.
Don Henley
My first love, frontman and drummer for The Eagles who later went solo and became the most successful member of the group. He's such an amazing person all around. In addition to being an exemplary musician, he is also an activist and singlehandedly saved Thoreau's home, Walden Woods, from developers. I can't tell you all the amazing things he's done, but I can tell you that "Heart of the Matter", "Boys of Summer", "Last Worthless Evening", and "Not Enough Love in the World" should be on everyone's playlist and that the Eagles should have a top spot as well. Thank you, Mr. Henley for everything!

Keith
I only became interested in Mr. Urban about a year ago after being introduced to him and his amazing music by my friend and fellow author, Kackie L. Saunders. Since then, I can't seem to get enough of Keith. He's a phenomenal musician and from what I can tell, just an amazing person all around. His lyrics are smart and fresh, his music interesting and unique and his smile...well, we need not go there. I want to thank you, Keith, for the inspiration you've become to so many of us. Thank you....and should you ever read this...I've written a song I'd like you to sing!
Sting
Ah, my future husband...or so I used to think. Much like Mr. Henley, I was introduced to Sting by my mother with her love of The Police, "Every Breath You Take" in particular. Sting, like Henley and Urban have such amazing lyrics with such deep meanings and amazing music to accompany it. Also, he was an English teacher! Does it get any better than that?! So, a huge thank you to Mr. Gordon Sumner for all that he has done to help enhance my writing, even if it was just providing background music while I pounded my head into the desk.
