And here we are...the dreaded night shift brain slow-down!  This is where, try as I may, I simply can't concentrate any longer.  In that case, why don't I take the opportunity to acknowledge my favourite authors, for the hours of entertainment and "brain food" they have provided me over the years; as well as a wonderful imaginary landscape.

Jean De Lafontaine - I'd be a fool to omit him.  My favourite fables, the stuff I learned in grade school.

Jules Verne - the Grand daddy of the Sci-Fi writers.  No wonder I became such a Sci-Fi buff later in life!

Hergé, Gosciny, Morris, Greg and Franquin ... I'm also a comic book buff, these men made me laugh through their characters and enriched my already fertile imagination!

Bob Kane, Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, William Moulton Marston; Stan Lee and all of the womderful writers for both DC and Marvel Comics - I can't deny the impact Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Hulk, Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, Justice League etc. all had on my imaginary wonderland. You guys rock!

Sir Ian Flemming - James Bond was  the novel of choice when I was going through high school - that's where I started the irritating habit of criticizing the movies for completely missing the boat.

Agatha Christie- Hercule Poirot, Miss Marple...need I say more?  Always a good read and the blueprint for the definitive murder mystery.  Want to know what makes a good who done it?  Read Agatha, great stuff.

Robert Ludlum - James Bond taken one step further.  Robert knows intrigue, for a good spy thriller he's hard to beat.

Last but not least, Steven King- another one for whom I wish Hollywood would finally "get it right".  The worst movie rendition of one of his books has to be "Neeful Things"; even Max Von Sydow couldn't save that farce.  Start reading a Steven King novel and I dare you not to finish it!  The man's writing is captivating to say the least!

There are plenty of authors I've read in the past who aren't being acknowledged here...I apologise, those are the names that come to mind first. As you read my story you may find bits and pieces of the various people I've named here, as well as serious hints of Gene Roddenberry.

I still wish there was a way to put my current work in progress into a graphic novel, but the work required to go from prosic to textual makes my head hurt...

That's all for now!
