Just had a 'Beer & Batman' Friday with my pal MJ, the last one until February, once the love of my life Rina is fully healed from her surgery.  We'll hook up again next month I reckon ...

He came bearing gifts: the DVD version of the original Batman movie with Adam West & Burt Ward! ;-)

"No Batman movie collection is complete without it", and now it is, thanks again MJ!  :-)  Agreed I'm still missing the Joel Schumaker atrocity with Gerorge Clooney ... and I don't want it either! 

I have Batman and Batman Returns with Michael Keaton; Batman Forever with Val Kilmer (acceptable)  and the excellent Batman Begins with Christian Bale (which blows all of the other ones out of the water in my opinion). 

Now I can count the classic Dynamic Duo to my collection.  MJ and I had great fun picking it apart - the corny reparte, the cheesy scenery and special effects, the hammy performances ... yet it's good for what it is: a spoof. 

As cheesy as it is, it's great fun to watch and like it or not, it's part of pop culture, an unlikely pop icon from the 60's.  As bad as it is, I prefer it significantly more to Schumaker's  Batman and Robin (what a stinker that one was).

I'm waiting for Superman Returns to go down in price, I want that one in my collection too, along with Seasons 2 and 3 of Justice League Unlimited.

I really enjoy those Beer & Batman Fridays with my buddy MJ... I find they inspire me!  I missed out on watching scenes from his current movie project Ashita as his DVD was not working in my PC's DVD drive ... but he did promise he'd email me those scenes in MPEG format. I can't wait!
