Adieu

Fear of the future, yearn for the past

In this moment I stand

Glazing my vision over tallest mountains

Silent streams, raging rivers

Hand in hand with hesitation

Should I fall when the time demands?

Or jump now?

Getting it over with quickly

Never really knowing

A crisp breeze tickles my frosty nose

Deep breath, smell the burnt spice of autumn

Knees are numb, crackling dirt beneath

Clouds float overhead

I see a sign

How God can forgive me now

After all these wrong turns?

Wasted time

Around the bend, make amends

All to do now is fall with the

Wind

Fire burns below, but all I know is

I cannot go on living in space

Dreaming, streaming, mindless nether land

Diving off of the cliff

Into blue water turned green with the tide

Light as a duckling feather, through the air

Without a care

Future before me, past behind

Leaving worries, mistakes in the driest dust

Good-bye

I bid adieu
