The Holy Spirit is using you in a special way. You have a great understanding of the scriptures and you have an excellent book. I think you have found your ministry. I really enjoyed your message and pray that God gives you the time to write more.  I pray that you get a good response. --  Brother Kerry, First Strike Ministries
'Final Destination: Rest' is not like most of the books I've read.  Mrs. Makris has actually found a way to write as if we were sitting down over a cup of coffee and discussing the topic at hand.  This book makes you want to study more by pointing out so much that we sometimes miss while reading the bible.  I think anyone would enjoy this book that is questioning the end times and where they fit in with God's and Christ's love!" -- by Christian Comedian Bob Smiley

We are one with Christ when we acknowledge Him, His sacrifice for our sins and our need to receive Him because of our sins. In turn, He gives us the Holy Spirit to dwell in our hearts until the day we are reunited with Him in the clouds. The last line of the scripture is also referred to in other versions as being presented perfect, which refers to us as His Bride and our presentation to Him after the Rapture at the end of the Church Age.

[A]nd to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come. 1 Thessalonians 1:10
For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us so that whether we wake or sleep we might live with him. 1 Thessalonians 5:9-10

If the Church were not to be Raptured, we would end up being present during the opening of the seals and the appearance of the Antichrist. Some say the wrath noted is not until the second half of the Tribulation. Scripture tells us that the lawless one, the Antichrist, begins working as soon as the Spirit is removed from the earth. He begins his attempt to sway people to pledge their allegiance to him. This is what is referred to as the hour of temptation.  He begins his reign as a peaceful ruler and after half of the Tribulation has passed, his true colors are revealed. Those people left on the earth will need to be very strong, or they will fall victim to his powers, signs and wonders He will show on the earth.

God sends upon them a strong delusion, to make them believe what is false, so that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.  But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God chose you from the beginning to be saved, through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth. 2 Thessalonians 2:12-13

We are Christs special people, His Bride, and because we believe in Him now through faith, we will not be subject to the lies the Antichrist will spread to mislead the population. Our gift is this salvation because we believed without having to see Him, but through our faith alone we came to Him.

Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of our religion: He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory. 1 Timothy 3:16

The order of this passage is very important to Christians. Christ told us He is with us always, when we accept Him and receive the Holy Spirit. What we read hear is (1) His earthly ministry; (2) His resurrection; (3) His return through the heavens to the Father; (4) the growth of the Church on earth; (5) the Rapture of His Bride.

Therefore, while the promise of entering his rest remains, let us fear lest any of you be judged to have failed to reach it. Hebrews 4:1
Consequently he is able for all time to save those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them. Hebrews 7:25

This is another reference to us entering His rest. How much clearer can the Lord be with His plan for us? He will save us from this time on earth when all hell breaks lose. We do not need to be here to be tried, we have already proven that we have faith in Him and love Him before those times of trials begin, to test the unbelievers.

ADDITIONAL NOTE: Below are a few scripture quotes from other chapters to further elaborate on the points I am making from this month's excerpt.

Therefore I swore in my anger that they should not enter my rest. Psalms 95:11
Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:3
Because you are precious in my eyes, and honored, and I love you, I give men in return for you, peoples in exchange for your life. Isaiah 43:4
Father, I desire that they also, whom thou hast given me, may be with me where I am, to behold my glory which thou hast given me in thy love for me before the foundation of the world. John 17:24
