4. The way to make our thoughts sit down is to replace them with the thoughts of Christ instead of the ones the enemy brings to bare on us. Christ's thoughts bring freedom, the enemy's bring confusion and distress. The enemy has come to rob, kill and destroy, but God has brought us through Christ, the Way, the Truth and the Life. The enemy is a liar and an accuser of the brethren. But the Spirit leads us into all Truth and Christ stands as our advocate before the Father.
5. How do we demolish strongholds in our lives? By speaking the word of God over ourselves. When I minister to people, I ask them to repeat God's word over themselves. Our words do little to combat the enemy, it is the word of God that moves mountains and never returns void!
6. Taking the time to know the word of God, brings the same intimacy with Him as we have when we pray. Getting lost in His word brings a lasting intimacy that can be called up and used again and again to combat our flesh and the enemy. Are you a sweet smelling incense unto the Lord. Do you want to be? Speak His words back to Him and you will begin to carry His essence with You.
7. Romans 12:2 tells us our minds are literally being renewed or retrained to think His thoughts. Hallelujah! Don't you feel closer to Him even studying right now. I know I sure do and I haven't uttered a prayer. I have just studied His word. The more of God we choose to take in, the greater the intimacy and the greater the empowerment.

This is why the Psalmist wrote, "As the deer panteth for the water, so my soul longeth after Thee.
Father, create a thirst in us. Cause us to pant after you. Bring us to places of intimacy in the Heavenlies. Draw us unto your bossom and we will praise your many names. Father God we love you...Great Shepherd we follow you...High Priest we extol you...Anointed One, we worship you. Lay the foundations of our lives by Your divine plan. Demolish the strongholds and lay a strong foundation based on your words of life. We seek only to know You and be enthralled by your majesty. We want to bask in Your glory and speak back to You your endless praises....... |
