Father, like the Israelites, sometimes you speak to me through one of Your servants, but I do not listen because of my discouragement and cruel bondage.  (Ex. 6:9)  O, Lord, help me to listen to You, or I will never be free!  Open my spiritual eyes and ears to see and hear the way to freedom.

Hope does not disappoint me, because You, God, have poured out Your love into my heart by the Holy Spirt, whom You have given me.  (Rom. 5:5)

You, my God, have not run away from being My Shepherd, I know You have not desired the day of despair.  What passes my lips is open before You.  (Jer. 17:16)

Even the Apostle Paul experienced depression.  Listen to him here.

Lord God, I am hard pressd on every side, but I don't have to be crushed; I am perplexed, but I do not have to be in despair.  (2 Cor. 4:8)

Listen to my cry, for I am in desperate need;  rescue me from those who pursue me, for they are to strong for me.  (Ps. 142:6)  Lord, an important part of my victory will be admitting that without Your complete intervention my oppressor is too strong for me, I am unable to be victorious without You, come and rescue me with your Mighty hand.

The thief cometh only to steal and kill and destroy;  You have come that I may have life; and have it to the fullest,.(Johm 10:10)
I acknowledge, O my God, that Your will for me is abundant life.  Full life! Satan, the thief, has come to steal, kill and destroy all things concerning my life.  I stand against him in Your name and desire to accept the abundant life You came to bring me.

Lord, according to your word if my eyes are bad, my whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within me is darknes, how great is that darkness!  (Matt. 6:23)  Lord, this verse tells me that the focus of my gaze, where my eyes are fixed, has a monumental impact on whether light or darkness will be prevalent in my life.  Please Lord, heal my eyes - -my sight--  I want to look to You, my Hope and my Redeemer!

Mighty Redeemer, the cord of death has entangled me;  the torrents of destruction have overwhelmed me; the cord of the grave has cooled around me, the snares of death have confronted me.  (Ps. 18:4-5)  Lord God, the cord of death has entangled Your child, the anguish of the grave has come upon me;  I have been overcome by trouble and sorrow...But now, O Lord, You will deliver my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling (Ps.116:3,8)

Lord God, your word says, "The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned.  (Is. 9:2)  I, too, have been walking in darkness. Please cause Your great light to dawn in my darkness, glorious God,  You who live in unapproachable light!  (ITim. 6:16)  Lord, Your Word asks, "Who among you fears the Lord --and obeys the word of his servant?"  Your word then exhorts,  "Let him who walks in the dark,  who has no light, I trust in the name of the Lord and rely on his God."  (IS. 50:10)  Father, I desire to trust in the name of my Lord and rely on You, my God, especially as I walk through this dark place.

You are my lamp, O Lord; You, the Lord, turn my darkness into light.  (2 Sam. 22:29)  You, O Lord, keep my lamp burning, my God turns my darkness into light.  (Os. 18: 28)  God of all things help me never to be guilty of this verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.  (John 3:19)  Lord, please help me not to love the darkenss instead of the light!  Help me not to prefer my depression because it has become comfortable and makes excuses for me.  Free me!

I am a chosen person, part of a royal prieshood, a holy nation, a people belonging to You, God, that I may declare the praise of You who called me out of darkness into Your glorious light. (I Pet. 2:9)

When I hope in You, Lord, I will renew my strength.  I will soar on wings like eagles;  I will run and not grow weary, I will walk and not grow faint.  (Is. 40:31)

Whatever your depression has brought you to, it is not good.  Look to the light of Christ who dwells within through the power of the Spirit and be renewed!  You are a precious child of God and He wants intimacy with you first and foremost.  Go to Him and receive the peace that passes all understanding,.  He is waiting for you.
