In the giving of Thanks, the thing I am most thankful for is the love of God. I heard a song recently that included the thought that God would rather die than live without me--and you! HE DID! Jesus chose to die to win me back from the devil's hold on me through sin. I don't recall a time when this truth has so impacted me. I have been brought face-to-face with God's astounding love for me. I am also made aware that with this same love, God Himself loves YOU with this powerful intensity. People are His passion! If God loves YOU that much, you must be something! I had best watch what I say about you, and how I treat you! The all powerful Father thinks that highly of you that He would send Jesus to go to those extremes to rescue you, and bring you home to Himself for an eternity. This love of God for you will never be greater than it is right now. The Bible says He cannot change! He IS love!! Life and circumstances sometimes tell us otherwise, but God also cannot lie!! His heart is always open to you, filled with love for you. Always aware of you, He longs for time with you. He awaits our response to this great yearning He has for us. It boggles our minds, but He had a perfect plan for us before He founded the world. He invites us to come. He waits for us.
If life has dealt you some grief, left you feeling unwanted and unloved, that no one cares, HE wants you!! He came just for you. He is all that your heart has longed for. Love, acceptance, forgiveness, safe harbor, where there is never a put-down or harsh treatment.
Come to Him and let Him express His love to you. All you have to do is say yes. The living God of the universe will take you up and never let you go. Receive His love. Be made new by it. Have hope. Jesus brings you near to God and His love. Be blessed in knowing that God and His people love you. Pray to God--He will lead you into knowing Him. This is eternal life, knowing the only true God, and His Son Jesus Christ, who God has sent--for YOU! (John 17:3) Blessings on YOU!. |
