Of
course I can't have a website without devoting a page to Glenn
& me. Six wonderful years together so far, ya know! He has
brought so much joy, laughter & love into my life and I wouldn't
be this happy without him :) *awww...*
Here's
a little something I'd like to share with everyone.. Songs which
mean something to us:
1. Summer Rain [Belinda
Carlisle] - our Zouk song... 1st meeting ;)
2. Kiss to build a dream on [Louis Armstrong]
- We've already chosen this song as our 1st dance song at our
wedding. Why? Really really long story. Let me see if I can remember
how it started. Oh yes, Glenn used to play this computer game
called 'FALLOUT' a few years ago which had this song in it's intro.
One day in the car 'Kiss to build a dream on' was playing &
my darling CHINESE boy (I sound condescending eh? hehe) was singing
along to it!!! Let me explain myself: I was surprised he knew
it coz he wasn't into this kinda music then. This was in the early
stages of our relationship when I didn't turn him Eurasian/He
didn't start calling himself Eurasian.. yet.*LOL* Now it seldom
surprises me he knows all the music I've grown up with. Ok so
back to the question.. Why this song as our first dance? Well,
besides the backstory which doesn't seem to show any sentimental
value, we love the song.. it's a good song to dance to... YES
we've practiced :)
3. Every Louis Prima song
there is - coz we kept listening to his CD & singing along
till we remembered the lyrics & danced along to it. *funnnnnn*
4. Kelly Clarkson &
Justin Guarini songs from AI : I listen to Kelly
more (coz she's amazing) while Glenn listens to Justin more (coz
he likes singing along to them especially 'Ribbon in the Sky',
'Let's stay together' & 'Desperado'). Yes, yes we are American
Idol (season 1 only) fanatics and can't wait for them both to
put out their solo albums this year PLUS their movie "From
Justin to Kelly".. and yes we hope they fall in love ~our
own America's Sweethearts~
5. Britney's songs : we
love this girl.. now she shares the spotlight with Kelly (in our
life) but we still love this girl. I look at her & that motivates
me to diet! haha it's TRUE! Look at that BOD! Especially when
the 'Slave for you' video 1st came out... [imagine me dancing
in front of the mirror to that song.. making up my own moves coz
I can't quite figure out the ones she does.. lol]. Ok so I don't
get as motivated by her as b4.. but there was a time.. so I give
her credit for that! Now the US trip gives me motivation to lose
20 pounds (I wish!!). Whatever it is, I know we'll be pigging
out there, so whatever weight we can lose b4 the trip will definitely
be a blessing! I should put up before & after pictures of
us! *IDEA*
6. I don't want to miss a thing
[Aerosmith] - Armageddon was the 1st movie we watched together.
I bought Glenn the Armegeddon Soundtrack for his birthday. This
all happened a little while before we were 'officially dating'..
