The 1963-64 team is one of only four Berry teams to ever qualify for the State Tournament. Of the team's five regular season losses, four of them came at the hands of the West Rome Chieftains.

Berry qualified for the State Tournament in Macon despite losing to Cass High of Cassville in the Sub-Region finals and again in the Region Finals. Berry unfortunately drew Perry in the first round of the State Tournament and Perry went on to win the state championship by defeating Cass in the championship game by a score of 56-53. Berry finished the season ranked 9th in the state.
