A PETER SELLERS BIOGRAPHY
Peter Sellers was actually born Richard Henry Sellers on September 8th, 1925 in Southsea, Hampshire, England. He was called Peter after his stillborn older brother. Both of his parents were actors and entertainers, so Peter spend much of his childhood traveling around together with them.

Before he joined the Army in 1943 he had been playing in different bands on different instruments, but in the Army he served almost as an entertainer for other soilders and military staff.

Later he came into the BBC radio, starring in the show called "The Goons" (first called "Crazy People"), which became very popular in England. Most of his time until 1960, he spent making crazy characters for this show, before he made himself a name for the linen, both in the UK and the rest of Europe, but also in the US. In 1960 he received international attention for his role in the film, "The Millionairess", in which he co-starred with Sophia Loren.
