| Playchoice is a muti game system that was designed to be a coin operated version of Nintendo's orginal home system of the mid 80's the NES. Many of the same games made famous on the NES (Super Mario Bros., Metroid, Contra...ect.) were avaliable on the Playchoice, although the hardware is 100% incompatable. The unit came in several cabinet versions...the dedicated upright has two monitors..one for instructions, and the other for the actual game. A quarter would not give yo uthe right to play until you"died" like most arcade games...but it game you a set amount of time (usually three mins.) to play and switch inbetween the up to 10 different games in the system. My Playchoice is a rare countertop version, that was ironicly made in 1988...near the end of the NES systems run of maximun popularity. |
