EMI were impressed enough to sign them, and gave them a �500,000 advance to record their debut album, and an equal amount to record some videos in Hong Kong and L.A. to accompany the future singles, 'This Months Epic', 'Soap Opera' and 'Coma Aroma'. Unfortunately, the A & R man who signed them was sacked by EMI and the band were left with an album that their label did not understand or wish to release. They left with the album tapes, and eventually released their masterpiece on indie ORG records in 1997.
What EMI had given away turned out to be an incredible blend of differing styles across 11 tracks, with nearly every one a potential single. Comparisons have been drawn to such diverse artists as Nine Inch Nails, Pink Floyd, Suede, Primal Scream, Duran Duran, U2 and Radiohead, and it should also be mentioned that most tracks also show an obvious 'trance' influence from the mid-'90's dance scene (indeed, 'Coma Aroma' was given an Oakenfold 'Perfecto' remix whilst the band were still at EMI).
Sadly, the band were disillusioned by their major label experience, and by the time ORG records had stepped in to help them they were suffering from artistic apathy and soon gave up altogether.
