Counter-Strike Source, PC Review
By: Michael Keen (filling in for Wilson)

Counter-Strike Source is the updated version of the already popular game Counter-Strike 1.6. With the exception of updated graphics, better sound quality, higher resolution textures and a whole new physics. The new engine is simply astounding, built off of the coming soon HL2 game, CSS uses the Source engine to power this intensive multiplayer FPS.

Cons--
-First off, CSS doesn't have any new maps, but like CS 1.6 and CZ, Valve announced new maps in the future as more information is being released on www.steampowered.com. So that is a pro in some ways, but for now this is a Procon.
-For those who love Counter-Strike 1.6, the only thing you'd probably need is a better computer to run this game. My opinion for recommended specs is a AMD Athlon XP 2200+ or a Intel Pentium 4 2.2GHz, atleast 512MB of RAM(1GB recommended), and a DirectX 8.1 card, like the Radeon 9700Pro or the Geforce 4 Ti 4400 or higher.

Pros--
-Need I say it again? The new engine is just a thrill to see in action.

It's amazing how Valve managed to make such an astounding game, other games have tried to mimic counter-strike in many ways and have failed horribly, Counter-Strike Source is the a stable game and is fun but the old,but revemped maps get stale after hours of playing. But overal this game is fantastic and HL2 will set a new mark on the FPS genre and the gaming industry alone.

Final Decision on the game:
9.1 Nice!

(HL2 will ship to stores in retail on November 16, 2004)
Counter-Strike Source, -"Still the best PC multiplayer game to date!"
