I got to Camden at like 5:35pm expecting James to be there already... he wasn't, i text him and he said he was on his way and would be another 45min! So there i was standing around on my own for like 50min holding a place in the queue and he calls me. He was right by the entrance, so i go over and meet him. We were one of the first people in the building! lol not that it did us any good. Whilst we had been waiting in the queue his friend Lucy (who i have been chatting to on MSN) arrived with another Lucy and 2 Emma's (v.confussing) They were all very nice girlies :)
INSIDE THE ELECTRIC BALLROOM...
We had to go thru ticket check and a bag search. Some bitch of a security guard took my camera away because it had a zoom lense (WTF!!!) but regular cameras were allowed in! So hopefully Lucy has some pics... Obviously i have NONE!!! I was soooo pissed off about that! I then bought a cute Simple Plan Tee which has like Eagle Wings on it.
THE OPENING ACTS...
Sucked!!! The first act was two guys called �Whitmore� I think :/ the second act was �Violent Delight�, who i had actually been looking forward to, cos i like one of there songs "I wish i was a girl" It's pretty funny! But they sucked just as much as the first, i couldn't understand anything and all the songs sounded the same. During the first act James and I were in the mosh pit near the stage. I now have bruises all over my arms and shoulders! During the second act i moved further back and chilled with the other girls, then i went to the bathroom and when i came down i bumped into James and we chilled out on some stairs until we saw commotion happening near the stage... meaning: Simple Plan were gonna be on soon! AHHHH lol
SIMPLE PLAN...
Okay well obviously they were FANTASTIC!!! All the pain i have endured throughout tonite was well worth it to see them! James and I had decided we would try to shove to the front. He eventually got there by crowdsurfing i think. But halfway thru the second song i had had enough. I wasn't able to breathe, I couldn't see the stage and i had already fallen down once (thank God some girl helped me up! It was crazy!) sooo i decided to move further back. I figured my life was worth more than attempting to touch Pierre, if and when i got close enough!
I had a good view from where i was, and was more than happy to jump away and belt out the songs all on my lonesome. Some guy managed to spill half a pint of beer down my back, which was nice of him (i think he was getting shoved tho) but i didn't care, after the initial shock i just kept bouncing away hehe.
Aiet, now onto their performance... I can�t actually remember the order they sang the songs but I think the opened with �God must hate me�. They sang every song from the album except the very last bonus track after "Grow Up", as well as doing a cover version of �American Jesus� by Bad Religion. They were very chatty with the audience. They absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE London!!! Well England baby! Cos we have the best music scene in the world. Which is TRUE! They said they will be back in the Fall :) I am sooo gonna have to go to that!
Apart from that i don't know what to tell y'all, Pierre looked VERY HOTT!!! He has shaved his hair fairly short now... i prefer it long (need something to hold on to and run ur hands thru ;) hehe... but he still looked very sexy! As did David... he was too cute with his black spiky hair! Throughout the show they kept throwing water over the moshers and then throwing the bottles into the crowd. And on one of the last songs Pierre jumped off stage, was held up by the crowd and sang for a bit longer and then he crowdsurfed! That makes me wish i had stayed near the front, but it was just TOO scary and i couldn't see or hear anything!
AFTER THE SHOW...
I started looking for James as everyone filed past and i sudden see him walking towards me topless! I just looked at him and was like "What happened to ur clothes?" He had got really hot and gave them to Lucy to put in her bag. So then we went to find the girls and found them by the entrance, we all collected our belongings from the cloakroom and i got my camera back and we went outside. There was some guy out there selling t-shirts and beige hoodies. I SOOO had to buy one! It is sooo nice and super comfy! I love it lol. Then we all hung around chatting for a bit, waiting for the mass of people trying to get into the train station to clear and then we all said our goodbyes and went our separate ways.
And that was that� I came home, showered, wrote this (it was written a few days ago, but I haven�t had time to post it) and went to bed.
