Major: Art of Fighting

Physical Description:

5'4", black hair, and brown eyes (purple when he wears contacts, but otherwise her wears glasses). Because of his purple obsession, there isn't a day when he's not wearing purple as part of his attire. When he has one of his "off-purple" days (which is almost as rare as girls turning him on), he's either wearing something funky to compensate, or just hasn't bothered with his laundry; therefore, he is forced to look plain. In battle, he likes to wear a costume and always seems to have one to pull out from the purple mini-back pack that he carries around. Although he seems to borderline on wearing female fashions, in order to satisfy his New Year's Resolution of expanding his purple wardrobe, he refuses to go all the way and become a transvestite. He claims that the only thing he would cross dress as would be a geisha.

Personality:

If someone was ever asked to describe Muraji as a dish, the only possible option would be that he was (pardon the remark) a "fruit salad". He is never one thing. He can be the nicest guy, who will always be there for you when you are in trouble, but if you ever get him mad, he will go bitchy, anal and vengeful. He can be serious one moment, then the next he can act like someone who's a cross between a Valley Girl and a real flamey queen type. Despite these conflicts, Mura is loyal and dedicated to helping others or helping out in causes he believes in.

Background History:

One of the hardest things he came to terms with before coming to YUME was the fact that he was gay. Being in an all-guys high school didn't help matters, especially with all the taunting, teasing, pushing around, and other forms of social ostracism. Even after coming out in his final year, he still felt alone, yearning for a sense of belonging. No matter how hard he tried to fit in or got involved, he never felt that he belonged. He managed to compensate for this void by not only getting heavily involved in school activities (mainly non-athletic), but also by being the best he could be in his academics (except for physical education). His first year in high school was especially the hardest; by the end of each day, he seemed to find himself crying. But this would all change when he met an unusual middle-aged long, dark brown haired woman after running away from some taunting students after school one day. After listening to his troubles, she promised to help him learn to defend himself by teaching him how to fight in hand-to-hand combat with weapons and by using pressure points. This training not only made him learn how not to let the idiots in his school get to him, it also helped him be more confident in standing his own ground. He has, on occasion, used the techniques taught by his teacher when the levels of verbal abuse got out of hand, leading to a couple of fights and even almost caused someone to die, though it was rare. When he graduated, the middle-aged woman gave him a present which was a family heirloom: a chakram. Although he has mastered many of the techniques his teacher taught him, he has never shaken the bad feeling he had about the potential for some of those attacks to kill. As a result, he has come to YUME to hone his skills. Plus, he thinks it may be good to put on his resume that he went to such a prestigious school.

Strengths:

  1. Speed
  2. Weapon Handling

Weaknesses:

attracted to and distracted by anything purple

almost always ready to jump in and help someone in trouble without thinking of the consequences

mind is ALWAYS in the gutter

Equipment:

  1. Chakram: "Similar" to the Yin-Yang chakram used by "Xena: The Warrior Princess"; this "round killing thing" has a razor sharp edge slicing through everything from flesh to stone. In skilled hands, the chakram will return to its user after ricocheting off nearby targets. The Yin and Yang halves can also split apart when the chakram is thrown and become little mini-chakrams; when split apart as well, the chakram halves can be used as mini-swords that can be used in a fight.
  2.

  3. Purple Mini-Backpack: Contains a pocket universe; a sort of "cousin" to Mary Poppins' carry bag in which she could carry large pieces of furniture in a deceptively small bag. It was a birthday present from one of his friends, who got it from Urban Planet. It was supposed to inflate, but it could not inflate because for some reason he had created a hole that seems to open into his own little universe. In this universe, he can store infinite amounts of stuff (i.e. weapons, clothes).

Moves:

  1. Chakram Attacks: (See Equipment for description) The chakram can block magical projectiles.
  2.

  3. Pressure Point Attacks: Depending on where Muraji hits with his index and middle fingers together, these attacks can cause different effects at different parts of the body (e.g. block pain, lose all feeling in a certain body part, cause pain, block blood flow to the brain); can both be a healing and a deadly technique depending on its purpose.

[ice_song's note: the background colour used in these profiles indicates rank, the closer to black it is the higher up in the YUME ladder. Sort of like how security clearance level is sometimes colour coded. ^_^;]
