It was dark. There was no light anymore.
She could remember a time when there had been laughter and fun and even love, but the light had faded. Faded and faded and now it had gone out completly.
She was all alone in the darkness. Laying on her side as if broken and beaten. She sat up, only to find she was bound hand and foot.
She sank back onto the ground and started to struggle against her bonds. After a bit of the struggle gave no hint of freedom she started to lose control. She started to panic, then the darkness moved.
how can the darkness move? she didn't know what it was but she was scared. she screamed and struggled, gasped for air as the darkness and panic choked her.
"NO!!" she screamed at the darkness, flaling as best she could bound as she was and tried to fight but the darkness settled onto her. It started to smother her. she started sobbing "no, no, no..." softly sobbing "no"
She rolled around helplessly and then she opened her eyes again to stare at the darkness choking her and Leena saw only the shadowed walls of her own bedroom.
Leena looked down at her bound limbs and saw only sweat soaked sheets and pillows entangled with her body.
Leena gasped for breath and turned on the lamp wanting the shadows to leave her alone.
"what a dream..." she whispered to someone who was not there to hear her.
Leena reached down over the edge of the bed to run her hand through Tianna's soft fur to comfort herself after that dream.
But there was no soft fur, no reasuring friend.
She was alone. Tianna was sick, probably dying, and Leena was lost.
Leena untangled herself from the fabrics and walked out to the balcony. She needed movement, she couldn't stay still as her world fell apart around her.
Leena got changed, grabbed a bag and left her room. She had to flee the darkness. She needed movement, she needed speed, she needed to be in control. |
