Ruka stood before the door to his dorm, quietly appraising the situation with what appeared to be a bemused smile. Anything or anyone could be on the other side of this barrier, perhaps even something that would change all of his plans in an instant. His graceful fingers encircled the doorknob as he opened the door and held his breath, more for effect than out of real excitement or apprehension.

Immediately he caught sight of a small, very pretty blonde boy reading. He was unable to quite see what the book was called, but since Ruka knew he would not have recognised the title anyway it was not that great a loss.

He had opened the door quietly enough that the boy, whom he assumed was his roommate, was still absorbed in the book. Ruka waited to be seen, not wanting to disturb the peacefulness in the room. It was almost sad to see him look up and realise that he was there. However, the moment was lost and it would be rude to not say anything after he had not even knocked before entering the room.

Ruka smiled at the boy, who was as yet a stranger to him, and when he spoke he did so quite amiably, which somehow didn't seem alien to him despite the attitude he had so far showed at all other times so far. "I apologise for interrupting you, but I'm Tsuchiya Ruka. I think you're the first person I've talked to, aside from the psychics professor..." he said, trailing off to give his roommate a chance to introduce himself.
