Kurama and Terry enter their room and Terry puts all the dust-filled sheets away to be cleaned. Kurama frowns at Terry.
"We should go to class." he says. "We still have time."
"I don't think you should go to class, caro." Terry replies. "You're system may not be able to handle it right away."
"But I'm fine." Kurama protests.
Terry gives him a level look.
"Alright, so I may not be one hundred percent normal, but I can still go to class, can't I?" Kurama argues, meeting Terry's eyes challengingly.
Terry sighs.
"If we go to class, you are not allowed to participate, only watch." Terry says flatly.
"Alright." Kurama agrees reluctantly.
"Fine, we can go to class then." Terry relents.
Kurama smiles and waits impatiently for Terry to grab his stuff. The two of them walk to the classroom. They enter the room and Sizer notices them. She flies over and glares.
"You are late!" she barks angrily.
Terry wordlessly hands her the sheet of paper. Sizer snatches the paper from him and reads it. She scowls and then glares at the two of them.
"Fine. You sit. You get in line." she orders.
Kurama goes to find a seat while Terry gets in the shortest line he can find. Kurama watches the other students fight the weapons and wishes that he could fight as well. They look rather challenging. He watches the students, some passing, some failing, fight against these somehow automated weapons. It is interesting to see how people react to the different kinds of weapons they fight against. Then it is Terry's turn. Kurama watches as Terry stands in the middle of the bed of axeheads, waiting for the exercise to begin. In each hand he holds a short knife. Then the axeheads begin to move. The knives enlarge to become his scimitar and machete and Terry braces himself for the fight. Kurama is slightly dissatisfied as he watches the fight. It is rather slow, due to the fact that the axeheads can only move at one speed. Kurama admits that the reason he is upset is that he is used to everyone fighting at a faster speed than this, Yusuke and Hiei and Terry and even Kuwabara fight faster generally. But Terry is obviously taking it easy since he is going the same speed as the axeheads. 'At least he's not showing off.' Kurama thinks in relief, not knowing how Sizer would react to that. The fight winds down quickly when the axeheads reach their time limit and stop fighting. Terry steps out of the area and heads for another lineup. He grins at Kurama and then sobers quickly as Sizer glances his way. As soon as he is out of Sizer's glare, he flashes a victory sign at Kurama. Kurama shakes his head and turns his attention to the other students. |
