(it's an Andrew post, but Yahell cut it off)

If Andrew's quota of pure and utter shock hadn't been filled and his nerves hadn't already been quite frayed he might have reacted very differently from the way he did. The fact was, however, that the events of the day combined with general fatigue (he wasn't sure why he felt tired, but he did) had taken their toll on his sense of moral righteousness.

So, the fact that his teacher was a demon didn't quite make as much of an impression upon him as it might otherwise have. He was downright calm, in fact. Of course, he would have been calm if he'd gone into cardiac arrest as well (which under other circumstances might have been the result of the sudden realisation that Jonas was a demon), but that was beside the point.

That isn't to say that Andrew had no opinion what-so-ever as to Jonas' transformation, but just that it was very different. Andrew tensed noticeably as soon as Jonas' form changed.

/By the highest gods! How could they have let a /demon/ in here to teach us how to do good in the world?!?! But...maybe there's a reason...maybe.../

Andrew relaxed after that, leaning forward a bit and looking down toward the ground, glad that no one was paying attention to him at the moment, but not really caring if anyone did. He felt so much more tired now and his expression was a little exasperated, a little defeated. There was really no use in being surprised today as nothing seemed to make any sense...he just hoped that it would end soon.

He'd tuned out whatever Jonas said after that, but then one word penetrated the fog of his concentration with the clarity of shattering glass:

"...Fireballs."

He could see the sudden spark of light as Jonas created a fireball in his hand, but for a moment he hadn't been able to tell that it was just a fireball, for a moment he had felt fear settle upon him again and could hear the distant sound of screaming. Then he woke to the fact that this was only the start of Jonas' lecture and that there was nothing to worry about. It was just a basic spell, that was all. Nothing to worry about, nothing at all the worry about.

Nothing...

Except for the fact that he wasn't really in the mood to listen to this teacher go on about the subject. However, he was here to learn and he would learn everything Jonas taught, regardless.

He would have wished the class to end as quickly as possible, except for the fact that he was still very much aware of what would happen after that. Oh, not the SC meeting (that would be fine), but the...other meeting...That was proving to be quite a problem.
