Jonas nodded after hearing Jin's and Floogster's replies. "Good. Now listen closely... There's not only ONE way to do anything in magic. The same thing can be done in thousands and thousands of different ways. That's why you all must keep an open mind if you all want to be the best magicians around."
Mr. Hazzard smirked and rose his staff. "And I want you to be the best." He put the staff away and looked serious again. "Of course, some ways to achive a goal are easier than others. If you want to fly, you can grow wings and use them, or you can use winds to carry you, or you could even manipulate gravity itself. The last one is my favorite, but it takes up too much energy."
"No matter how you do something, you must always understand exactly how thigns work. Magic... well, it's magical and it must stay like that, but it can't be a mistery for any of you anymore. The keyword here is Knowledge. Understood?"
Not really waiting for a reply, Jonas stepped out of the penthagram and waved his hand. A ring on his finger shone and the lights got weaker. Then the illusionary image of a person appeared, hovering above the middle of the magic circle. Light spots shone on the image, marking specific locations.
Jonas started lecturing about the basis of all magic healing arts, mentioning things like energy flow, life force, magic auras, etc.
