"I believe Ananda did something like this yesterday." Jonas replied Andrew. "But the fact is that I don't know any of you and this is the time for me to learn your names." He swung his staff around for effect.
"Plus, as I said, magic's a tool. A POWERFUL tool, which should not be given to someone less worthy." Jonas put his staff down before he could hit someone and walked up to Andrew. "History is full of people who abused magic and almost destroyed the world. Morgana, Baba Yaga, Merlin..."
"Merlin?" A student asked, amazed. "But Merlin was a wise wizard!"
"The Merlin you're talking about is the OLD Merlin. But I'm talking about the YOUNG Merlin, back when he was too young and too powerful for his own good. But nevermind that now."
Jonas turned back to Andrew. "I don't want more troublemakers to lay their hands on power. And believe me, you don't want it either. Besides, one person's goal can show much on this person's personality. And I only teach people with the right kinds of personality, do you understand? No world rulers wannabe nor dragon lord trainnes with me."
He stepped back and smiled. "Of course, you don't have to declare your goal to everyone on this room, you can tell me later." He glances around the whole room. "I promise to each and to all of you that anything you tell me will be kept as a secret." Then he turned back to Andrew. "But I HAVE to know who I am dealing with." |
