Jonas nodded as Ananda's image disappeared, and sighed in relief. He was getting tired of repeating the same 'Ananda's-hurt-I'm-in-charge' speech over and over again.
"O-kay, friends. I guess this is the time when I introduce myself to the whole class at once. My name's Jonas Hazzard, but just call me Jonas. No 'Mister' or 'Sir', just Jonas. I'm not anyone's boss here, and I certainly am not from the military to like hierarchy." He pulled a staff from his backpack and spun it aroun skillfully.
"Anyway, let's get started, shall we? Everyone sit down, please." When he noticed everyone sitting on chairs by the desks, he shook his head. "Not on the chairs, people. Around the magic circle I drew!" He gestured to the penthagram.
Jonas took a board with the names of every magic student on it. "I think I should mark here who is and who is NOT here, but..." He threw the board through a window. "But that's a real pain. I don't like this stuff... But I have to do something about it... So..." He cleared his throat. "Okay, raise the hand whoever's skipping this class." Looking around and watching everyone staring back at him wide-eyed, he nodded and smirked. "Good. Nobody's skipping, so everyone's present. Easy, huh?"
Getting serious all of a sudden, Jonas stood in the middle of the penthagram. "Listen, if there's something I know better than anyone else about magic, it's: 1- It requires an open mind and 2- It's not evil or good, it's just a tool for other people to shape the world with."
He glanced around. "So, before we start, I'll want to know your names and why each of you want to learn magic. Nothing else. Plus, be quick and accurate... I can see when you people lie." He smirked. "Just joking." He spun his staff again and stopped it to point at a student.
