From what Kiwara was saying Kuwaguma gathered that the tall boy’s name was Okra. "Well, umm…’ she started when Kiwara finally did pause, ‘I guess I could show you to the office. They will get you started with everything you need. Some people are still moving in so you can find an empty room or ask to room with someone who doesn’t have a roommate yet, okay?"
She would have offered to let him share her dorm (her roommate had moved to private quarters upon finding that the room wasn’t as big as expected), but she didn’t want to put him on the spot. She’d take him to the office and then see if he asked without her prompting. Kuwaguma wasn’t sure what to make of the talkative student, but he did seem like a nice person. She could see what Okra meant about him "not shutting up", if she was interpreting the slang correctly, but still, that was no reason to lose patience.
Kuwaguma would regret being late for her major class, but she hoped that her teacher would understand...as intimidating as she seemed.
